PRO LOCO AVIANO… CENNI STORICI DELL’ASSOCIAZIONE
 
La Pro Loco di Aviano nasce ufficialmente nel 1967. In realtà l’associazione esisteva già da alcuni anni. In occasione della prima delibera di costituzione, si tenne una seduta pubblica nella sala del Cinema Giardino di Aviano presieduta dal Cav. Domenico Sartori di Borgoricco. Fu lui il personaggio trainante dell’iniziativa che si attivò costituendo la Pro Loco allo scopo iniziale di sostenere la società calcistica avianese alla quale mancava un direttivo.
Presidente fu nominato lo stesso Cav. Sartori e alcuni consiglieri avianesi. Gli scopi che caratterizzavano l’Associazione erano culturali, ricreativi e sportivi. In quell’anno la piccola squadra di calcio si salvò dall’eliminazione e di conseguenza variò la propria denominazione da A.C. Aviano ad A.C. Pro Aviano.
Quella Pro Loco, però non ebbe lunga durata come funzionalità.
A ricostruirla fu nel 1967, proprio il figlio del Cav. Sartori, il dr. Mario Sartori di Borgorico, che era anche il Presidente della Società Ediltur, società che aveva dato inizio agli insediamenti edilizi ed alberghieri in Piancavallo. In quegli anni nacque anche una collaborazione con il C.A.I. di Pordenone e il Centro turistico. Il Piancavallo divenne quindi in breve popolare grazie all’attività della Pro Loco. Ma i progetti per il paese erano ancora rari.
IL 29 marzo 1968 Dr. Mario Sartori fu riconfermato Presidente ma tale data coincise anche con la morte del padre dei Danzerini di Aviano, Federico Angelica: da qui il nome attuale del gruppo "Federico Angelica - Danzerini di Aviano".
Una lunga amicizia contraddistinse sempre il rapporto tra le due associazioni e questo è particolarmente evidente in occasione della rassegna del Folklore, che nel 1971 diventò una delle più importanti manifestazioni folkloristiche mondiali.
Un’altra iniziativa degna di nota fu la pubblicazione del periodico “Aviano: ieri, oggi e domani”, con tutte le principali informazioni paesane.
Il brutto fatto di Larissa è tristemente ricordato dai Danzerini di Aviano per la perdita di sette giovani componenti, durante il tragitto in pullman verso Creta.
I successivi Presidenti della Pro Loco furono Basaldella e Biancat e poi, per la prima volta, una donna, Sandra Gargan, la quale valorizzo le tradizioni della Pro Loco attraverso manifestazioni giovanili come Aviano in Rock e Aspettando il 2000. Molti altri nuovi progetti coinvolgevano inoltre sia il comune di Aviano che le associazioni.
Le tradizionali feste che la Pro Loco continuerà a proporre sono il carnevale, il Natale Avianese, Quatro Pas pai Ciamps e la Mostra-mercato degli animali, delle arti e dei mestieri.
 
HISTORY OF PRO LOCO AVIANO
 
The Pro loco of Aviano was born officially in 1967. In truth the association existed already from some years. In occasion of the first deliberation of constitution, it was a public sitting in the Cinema Garden of Aviano, presided from the Cav.Domenico Sartori di Borgorico. He was the pulling ahead personage of the initiative because he was activated constituting Pro Loco to support the Avianese Soccer Club which laked a directive council.
The original aims of the association were cultural, ricreative and sportive. In that year the small soccer team won and so the name changed from A.C. Aviano to A.C. Pro Aviano.
Dr. Mario Sartori, cav. Sartori’s son, permitted the first buildings in Piancavallo.
The association founded a Ski-learning National School in Piancavallo in that year because the people of the association were interested in the turistic growth of Friuli Occidentale. It started also a cooperation with C.A.I. of Pordenone and the Turistic Centre. So we can say that Piancavallo became popular in a little time thanks to the Pro Loco activity. By the way, the projects for the town of Aviano were rare.
The 29 March 1968 Dr Mario Sartori was reconfirmed President of the association but this was also a sad date becouse of the death of mr. Federico Angelica, the “father” of Danzerini di Aviano; so the President Dario Zanette decised to call the folkloristic group with his name.
A long friendship and cooperation between the two associations began and this is evident during the summer edition of the “Festival of Folklore”. In 1971 the folklore fest became one of the more important of the world.
One of the things that characterised more the efforces of Pro Loco was the publication of the periodic “Aviano: ieri, oggi e domani”, with all the issues of the town for the families interested.
A bad accident happened in Larissa, the 1979; in that occasion seven young people of Danzerini di Aviano died in the pullman that was taking them to Creta.
The successive Presidents of Pro Loco Aviano were: G. Basaldella and A. Biancat, and then, for the first time, a woman, Sandra Gargan, who valorised the traditions of Aviano and introduced new activities, especially for young people, such as “Aviano in Rock”, a local-musical exhibition. An other important fest was “Aspettando il 2000” , with thousands of people from all the Nations, listening to the music of local bands. Many other new projects were introducted, involving Comune of Aviano and the other associations.
The traditional fests that Pro Loco will never stop to organize remain Carnevale in Fevruar and Christmas in December, “Quatro Pas pai ciamps” in April and the Fest of the Animals, Arts and Works in Trento p.ce. in Mai.
